Secily Wilson

Secily Wilson founded the nonprofit, WOW Legacy Group, fueled by her personal journey. As a seasoned broadcast news journalist, her dream of advancing to network news in New York was shattered by an unexpected on-air stroke, resulting in a temporary loss of speech, divorce, financial struggles, and home foreclosure.

Facing significant setbacks and battling silent depression, Secily, guided by tough love from a close friend, confronted the hopelessness she had embraced. Challenged to give to others, she experienced a transformative shift, propelling her into purpose and inspiring a fearless determination to reset her life.

Drawing from her adversity, Secily developed a program empowering women with the mantra "Fall Into Fabulous." Today, this self-proclaimed “resilience expert” passionately uses her voice to inspire and uplift women navigating life's challenges. Encouraging them to rewrite their stories with resilience and strength, she emphasizes the empowering truth "when life falls apart, we Fall Into Fabulous!"

We are the answer to your “What am I going to do now?” question. When life has fallen apart unexpectedly, oftentimes it leaves women feeling paralyzed, hopeless or uncertain about their future. WOW (Women Overcoming with Willpower) Legacy Group is prepared, postured and positioned to help women rebound, reset and refocus in order to change the narrative of their story. Instead of falling apart, they choose to Fall into Fabulous. We are intentional with our mission to Empower, Educate, Inspire and Transform lives helping women to reach their true potential mind, body and spirit.

In 2013, the modest one-day initiative, which took place inside a high school cafeteria funded by the organization’s founder, Secily Wilson, sparked a fire. From providing clothing, tools, and resources for 25 women, it evolved into a powerhouse nonprofit in 2015—dedicated to empowering, educating, inspiring, and transforming lives. Enter Fall Into Fabulous (FIF), a 17-week empowerment program recognized for its impact.
Fast-forward to partnerships with giants like #ConnectFord, Walmart, Bank of America, and more. 2020 threw a curveball, but WOW Legacy Group adapted, going online and ensuring women graduated despite reduced participation and funding. The commitment to impactful content resulted in a triumphant 100% graduation rate in 2022 and 2023. From humble beginnings to unstoppable milestones, WOW is rewriting the narrative of empowerment.
In a world with 3.9 billion women, according to recent statistics, here are the stark realities facing women – 1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse during her lifetime. Women between the ages of 18 and 34 are at greatest risk of becoming victims. 1 in 5 women experience a mental health condition. 85% of homeless families are headed by single mothers and 67% are unemployed. This underscores the critical need addressed by WOW and its Fall Into Fabulous (FIF) women's empowerment program. Amidst the COVID-19 upheaval, WOW remains the social safety net supporting women facing toxic relationships, failed marriages, health complications, job loss, or grief.
